Hmmm...the expression on Danny's face can be taken in many ways. *STARES* ..... Whether he's skeptical over Danny's dating success rate or the twinge of discomfort...hmm. *Ponders*

As for Rick - he has such a way with words, doesn't he? XD Only he would thoughtlessly to compliment and insult someone at the same time! *Laughs* Although I have to agree with Rick there - Danny DOES look adorable without those glasses of his (who picked them out?!?). Methinks that when Danny got older, he had a better idea on what type of glasses/shades fitted him better.

The expression of Danny in panel 5 leaves me grinning - he reminds me of a pouting child. XD Makes me wonder if he only acts like that around Rick? *Ruffles Danny's hair to only get hand slapped* Yow! >_o It's not my fault you're so confused!

Lol ahaha, I will let you decide about that expression, cause I didnt know what I wanted, so it just kind of drew itself .XD

Lol Rick can never seem to get words out right, huh? XDD I have that problem too. Sometimes things sound ok in your head but when you blurt them out your like "Oh crap" XD Though I dont think Rick thinks about what he's gunna say. D:
Ahaha, well the reason Danny doesnt wear the glasses anymore and the reason he wears scarfs all the time will soon be explained! XDD

LOL actually, I wanted to show time difference in that pout. Cause Rick has said those things to Danny a lot ((accidentally/thoughtlessly however you wanna say it)) and Danny just kind of ignores it. Except for when Rick said they kissed during the movie ((chapter 4 page 1 i think?)) and Danny got mad at him for it. ((Which will be explained also XD)) But here I think at their age Danny just doesn't know how to take compliments yet , like they throw him for a loop. XD

"Danny just doesn't know how to take compliments yet."

That statement leaves me remembering how I used to be like that. Compliments still catch me off guard from time to time, but I at least manage to spit out a "Thank you" now. XD
I can't wait to see the explanations for Rick and Danny's history (especially the "theater-kiss-that-never-existed" part)! To be truthful, I've never noticed Danny's fetish for scarfs (I joke, I joke!) until you said that. ...*Muses* He DOES wear them a lot, doesn't he? XD *Slaps forehead*
Will you also include how Rick's appearance went from latest style-->hobo-in-training? While Rick looks awesome (he sports a great stubble ~<3); one can't help but to wonder what caused him to change like that...
As for the time difference...when I think of Rick's first loud appearance (and invading Danny's personal space), I can see how Danny has grown used to it all. XD

P.S: Sometimes the things I say come out wrong as well - thankfully, not as often as some of my friends. ^^; I imagine Danny would have to save Rick from his tactlessness sometimes. XD

Lol same here! XD I'm so thrown off gaurd by compliments. I usually say "thanks you" but sometimes im just so thrown for a loops I just sputter out noises XDD;;;

Lol, the kiss that never happened thing was my fav to write, I'm looking forward to it. XD
And LOL I guess I didn't really think about Ricks..uh.. style. D:
Danny was the only one with a reason behind why he dresses the way he does. Though Rick's is just because thats the style I gave him. ((Like how Johnathan always wears dress shirts and black pants, Stacy always waers a skirt, with some part of the outfit black, and Greg wears lighter, kinda metro-sexual style clothing. XD )) For rick I just decided he will wear brown XD;;; *LAME*

Oh yes. Danny has to save him all the time. XD And same here! LOL some of my friends im just like "...WHAT?" when they blurt stuff out. XDD;;

Hey, if it helps - Rick could just be maturing (in his own, oddball way) by dressing the way he does. Versus how he was in college, maybe he's a bit more "down-to-earth" with his simplistic browns and whites? That's what those colors remind me of, anyway. Seems like his adult mind's less focused on impressing people, anyhow - well, asides from folks like Danny I'm sure (;D). Oh, and the occasional straggler of a fan of his show...MAYBE. XD
Just curious...when it comes to the scripts, can you hazard a guess on why Rick wanted to become a scriptwriter? If it's a spoiler, don't tell!!! But from the sounds of it, he just writes his heart away with it all--not caring whatsoever if it contains eccentric plot devices such as a hamster in a hospital. XD

And your idea with keeping your characters in certain clothing - that's how I am when it comes to drawing my characters too. Not to mention, I can get rather lazy about designing new clothes all the time (shoes are especially the enemy!). XD;;;

Yeah, that could be it too. I think Rick is just one of those people who follow the fads and dresses weird sometimes cause of it ((Though older he doesnt care anymore XD)) And as for impressing people, I don't think he even tries. He doesn't think of himself as a person with that many good qualities to "show off" anyways.

And it's not a spoiler. I never actually say why. XD But I think he became a script writer cause he does love writing and there isn't much else he is good at. XD ((the "Good at" part is hard to explain without spoilers though. Sorry. XD ))

LOL I actually have shoes for each char too XD;; But I like to create a stlye/wardrobe for each character. Just cause I know ppl in real life usually wear the same types of clothes every day. Or a style they feel most comfortable in :D

Your Rick leaves me wondering sometimes - he seems like a guy who who enjoys the world, likes himself, yadayada-shamda; and then, he pulls a 180 on me, leaving me wondering how he truly is. @_@ Not that this is a bad thing mind, but for a "person with [not] that many good qualities to 'show off'," it all leaves me grinning cause he's like a puzzle to figure out. Is he like some people I know who are satisfied with having just a few good skills; or, is he actually less confident than he appears to be???
Ah, and reading your commentary on your characters are always very fun. :) It only adds more to puzzle after all. ^.^

Ah...Rick. Imagine that'll be me in a couple of years. ^^; He reminds me of an author who once said how writing was the only employable skill they got (and enjoyed!). If I ever manage to finish anything I start (asides my journals); then, I got something there. :P
Not to mention how in real-life, I can dress and act rather hobo-ish as well (such as sleeping in odd, public places or randomly in the grass). ^^; One of these days, Rick should drag Danny out to relax in a park or something. *Grins* Somehow, the image of Rick, Greg, and Stacy (?) enjoying the park swings can't leave my mind (must be Chapter 5's fault). XD

lol well hopefully this chapter will clear up some things. XD This is the last chapter in Rick's POV, but you do get to learn more about him later through Danny's ((and a little bit of Stacy's)) eyes. Lol Thanks! I try not to spoil but it's so hard. XD And when I do finally explain it, I have this habit of making it too subtle that nobody notices. XDD;;

Awww, I'm glad that as a writer you can understand Rick on that level, thats always nice! :D
LOL! I always had a thing for the hobo look, but I tend to actually wear really fruity colors ((Like line green, bright orange/red, yellow)) cause I just feel more energized in them. I dunno why XD;;

and PFFT. ahaha~ They are all still just kids at heart, everyone loves swings, right? :D I can picture Stacy scaring the kids away with her grumpy look, though. And Greg just laughing nervously about it. XDD

Hmm...for me, my trade mark colors when it comes to clothing always tend to be various shades of blue. There's some black in there (like my newspaper boy hat), but I notice how when I hang out with a particular pair of my friends - I look like the odd duckling decked out in blue. XD

And when it comes to how you "must resist spoilery!" problem, I can see myself having the same problem as well. I love talking about my work, regardless of what my progess is on it. ^_^ For the both of us, I think it's a highly good sign that we're totally doing something right - isn't that so? :D

As a kid, I always loved swings (oh, and gummy bears - but that's a whole other story). In elementary, my best friend and I always raced against these two other boys - just so we could get the best swings on the playground. Ever swung super high and leapt out of it? Did that once, and felt slick for doing it. >8D Can imagine Rick doing it...and landing on his face. T_T;;;

aww! LOLpoor odd one out. XDD I like blue too! My group of best friends consist of me and two boys ((Like Stacy, Greg and Johhny. XD!)) one of them always wears stripes and a hat, and the other wears greys and blues. I look like a beacon with my bright orange sweater. I'm suprised airplaines arent landing by me. XDD

Yeah! It is such hard thing to do, to not spoil. LOL

And awww! Thats cute that you raced to the swing! I was a mean little kid, I use to push the boys out of the swings when I wanted a turn. XDD;;; *can imagine Johnathan pushing a kid out of a swing, pretending he didn't see the kid there.* XDD LOL And yeah! I never felt sick, though, I DID once see a classmate jump from the swing and break his head open. I was so terrified of swings after that. D:

And btw, have you ever heard this song? ((Lyrics are in the desc. box)) I just found it and was like *NEEDS TO ADD TO HER RICK AND DANNY MUSIC* LOL I love songs that remind me of characters ;W;

Am happily listening to the link you've recommended to me - and me, being so uninformed of the the music world in general - haven't heard this song before. :) With the lyrics right beside me, I can't help but you agree with you - they fit Danny and Rick's relationship perfectly.
A lot of the lyrics - they remind especially of Rick - can imagine him saying a lot of those lines, actually. ^_^
Ah...but it's such a sad song as well, when one thinks about it... T_T
Darn you Danny, why do you have to be so hard to comprehend for Rick (or anybody else, in general)?!? >o<; Although, I can also imagine Danny not wanting Rick to dissapear... DX

When it comes to finding songs, I can't help but to think this first: "Hmm...it sort of reminds of this particular character in this scene." Methinks the average music-monger doesn't think like this. XD Yup, gotta agree with you there - ADORE songs that reminds me of my stories.
Sometimes I notice though how some of the songs catagorized for a certain character's scenes contain too much meant for one mood (like anger) or only just one important one scene. It can be pretty unbalanced combination for my mind to work with. @_@;;;

As for being a kid - I was the loner-type who liked doing their own thing (while also picking on a jerk who unfortunately lived across the street from me). <_<; Amazingly enough, it was only until third and fifth grade when I made actual best friends because my caring teacher made me. XD Can't help but to wonder how Danny and Rick first met...college years, as kids? :D If I'm accidentally prodding you into the realm of spoilery again, I'm sorry! ^^;;;

Yeeaaahh~! I find more songs that relate to Rick more than Danny too. Rick is just more easier to understand I guess, so it's harder to find lyrics to fit Danny. D:
I found another sound by her that reminded me of Greg. XD ((You dont have to listen if you dont want. LOL)) in his relationships with pretty much everyone else. <3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsiE950c2P8&feature=related

Oh yeah, same here! Finding songs for scenes are a lot easier to find then general character songs. Probably cause songs are usually pretty specific about the topic. XD;;

Awww, loner kids are so cute, but so sad when you see them. D: I had selective mutism as a kid ((a condition where a child becomes mute in certain social situations, mine was school.)) but I still somehow had a lot of friends even though I couldnt talk or make facial expressions. XDD

And as for Rick and Danny, they met in college, I think in the current part of the story they have known each other for a few months now, probably. So they are still a little akward around each other. XD

Looking at the lyrics - I can't help but to notice the awesome quirkiness behind McCarley's descriptions ("Cause I'm inspired by your offbeat dreams", "Shape every tear into a candy sky"); and the music composed being a great fit for the overall mood of lyrics as well. :D All of this reminds me of how complicated it is to make a song that sounds right.
As for Greg--he certainly does brighten up a room, doesn't he? He's one of those characters readers come across, wishing they were your friend in real life. Well...MINUS the lethal split ends. T_x;; Even upon being sued penniless, he's still smiling~<3 That has to be one of his best traits, honestly.

When it comes to your selective mutism, frankly--I think that's pretty neat to hear about, because I've never heard of it before. Of course, the person having it may not enjoy it...especially if one's teacher STILL wants you to present to the class your science fair project (always hated doing mine over the holiday breaks). T_T;
As for me, my family always jab me about how I never talked as a youngster. "Supposedly" I didn't utter my first words until I was five or six or so. ^^; Apparently, I found watching children's shows more entertaining than paying attention to people (<_<;;;). This also would explain how I'm not as good as my siblings are when it comes to speaking our language either. ^^;

Oh I know! I am in love with her songs, her descriptions are so cute and clever. :D
Lol Greg is actually one of my favorites to write for, he is just so happy, then becomes worried easily, then after a look from Stacy and a odd comment from Johnathan he is back to happy. XD

Oh yeah, I use to get sent to the principals office cause a teacher would ask me to answer a question and I would just...stare at her, XD;;;
Lol for real? I never heard of someone doing that. O__O! I have 3 little sisters so I was busy climbing trees and cutting up birth certificates into snow flake patterns, and doing all other kinds of destructive kid things with them. XD;;;

When I got a wee older (and a bit more talkative), being a middle child wasn't easy. Couldn't sleep as late as my older sis; yet, responsible for everything my younger sis did (ugh). Nonetheless, it was fun romping about the household - swinging on things not normally meant swinging on, building the typical awesome fort out of chairs and blankets (and spending the night in them!), creating obstacle courses based on shows we'd watch, and many other rambunctious things.
Only bad thing was that I only got into physical fights with my younger sis (and that was why my parents never enrolled me into martial arts). T_T;
One clear memory I had with my younger sister was taking an inflatable raft from the garage and sliding down the stairs with it. XD
...Ah, my poor grandmother - how she worried about me and my dangerous creativity. ^^;

As for the birth certificate idea... WOW. O_o Your parents must've freaked upon seeing that happen. XD At least NOW, they got a story they can tell to their friends if there's every a silent lull in the conversation, ja? The only thing I've ever cut up was bits of a blanket...my mum wasn't too happy with that. ^^;;;
As for climbing up trees...remember trying, but then failing--because all the trees in the backyard were either twenty feet taller than I was, or the branches were all thin (or worse, prickly >_o).

OMG I so did that thing with the raft on the stairs too! Except for me I just layed down on the sheet from my bed on my tummy and slid down. Yours sounds a lot less painful, you smart girl you. XDD

Aww, being the middle child does sound difficult. D: I pretty muched raised my three sisters, cause my family gets all our income from United Airlines ((My dad fixes engines there)) and after 9/11 United pretty much crashed and we had no money. So my mom went to work all the time and my dad got stationed in Chicago to fix planes there. So we were always alone. I remember one time I tried to enroll my youngest sister into Preschool, and the ppl were like "Uh...where are your parents?" XDD;; I bought groceries and stuff with my saved up lunch money. ((For about 3 years we lived off of raw spaghetti noodles and milk. XD LOL ))
So Being an oldest child has it's problems too I suppose. I guess it's hard to be any sibling? You get screwed no matter when you were born lol

Aw, lol yeah. My parents have a lot of embarassing stories about me. D:
And AWW! LOL Your trees dont sound too fun! D: I had giant trees that smelt like beer in my neighborhood. The neighbors threaten to shoot me all the time when I climbed up their trees LOL XDDD

Sounds like you live in an interesting neighborhood, alright. Your neighbors sound positively friendly! XD Whoever knew knew trees could actually smell like beer, though? O__o; You learn something new everyday, I guess. ^^;

And you're right - one is screwed regardless of which time you're born. Still, it sounds like you got a lot of experience from being the oldest - taking care of everyone...even if it was through spagetti noodles and milk. XD As a kid, I went through a lot of "phases" with my staple meal - first it was rice+hotdogs (don't ask), then it was pepperoni-flavored things; then it was cheese souffles (basically place some random cheese slics on a plate and heat it up until it explodes or something); then it was grilled-cheese sandwiches; then pouring soy sauce on everything I ate (...); then I lived off of microwaved mac and cheese for a while. From an early age I've been training myself to survive like a "starving college student" apparently. XD Thankfully, I haven't gone through a ramen phase - if you eat too much of it, you have to get your stomach pumped out. That's what happened to one of my older sister's teachers, or so I heard. <_<;
Hearing your stories of taking your sisters reminds me of how much my older sister spent taking care of us. In a way, she still does today despite all of us approaching college-age now.

As for me, my parents were hardly ever home to supervise us because they were always working at the simple gas station they owned. Mainly, it was my grandmother who cooked our meals and yelled at us when she found us hiding behind the door of the bathroom shelf. For the most part though, each of us were left up to our devices - and in a way, I'm pretty grateful for nowadays I consider myself independent (in mind, if not completely YET in body).

LOL yeah. That neighbor is in jail now though after locking his family in the basement and threatening to blow them and the rest of us up. After he went to jail we stole one of his kittens he had in his house and named it Geezer Flakes. XDD And the trees smelled like beer cause for some reason ppl always droped their beer bottles there by the tree. XD

Omg you are just set for college then, huh? XD!! And eeww, the ramen thing sounds gross. LOL I dont eat the stuff cause Im a vegitarian ((We never had money for meat so I just got use to not eating it and now It just doesnt look good. XD))
And awww about your sister, she sounds like a really sweet gal :D

Aw, yeah. I feel the same way! Except I dont have a grandma XD But I do feel grateful that I was never punished or yelled at for my destructive behavior as a kid. I mean its better to go through that phase as a kid rather than a teenager or adult, right? XDD

EDIT: Gosh, talking to you sure is productive. XD I've been so motivated I already sketched out one page and am sketching another right now. XD

Holy cow~! XD Well, glad to have been of service to your productivity, Q! *Salutes* What's even more amazing is how you're managing to juggle typing out these long, nifty replies while STILL coughing up pages for the rest of the world to see! :D If only my attention span worked that well... XD

Heh, I gotta say - you have rather interesting neighbors. O_o; As for me, I got the sort of random neighbors who occasionally say "Hello" to you off the bat. Despite how it catches me off guard, I can't help but to feel grateful for living in such a polite neighborhood. Not sure about the teenagers, but if I ever get old enough - I'd figure saying "Hullo" to a random resident every once in a while wouldn't harm anyone. =^_^=

For me, my "destructive phrase" (I'd like to call it my 'Experimental Creative Stage') warrented a few punishments from my Mum, who was the chief disciplinarian in our family. It'd made me terrified of her so I always "pretended" to be asleep by 10, and then go running down the stairs each time my Dad came back home (sorry Mom, we get along better nowadays though!). ^^;
Surprisingly, despite all my childhood shannigans (I love that word) - the ones who were considered "troublemakers" were actually my two sisters, especially the youngest one. For me, I wasn't too difficult to raise - give me a lot of alone time, some food and water, plenty of sunshine, and lot of ideas to play with - and viola, a happy child. The only time I was a hassle was when my sister and I got into fights; or, when I'm in one of my snarky moods towards my parents.
Let's just say my Dad (who was taking care of me after my parents divorced); was a bit...dense (for a lack of a better word) when it comes to his parenting style. For better or worse, he was like Johnathan - he could not recognize an insult if you flung one at him. ^^;;; He's an overall good man, despite being a wee clueless and self-absorbed.

Awww, lol Your dad... I don't really know much about my dad sinse I never see him, but I know he is a super nice guy. And he seems really bummed out that he doesn't get to spend a lot of time with his wife and kids. D: But I guess thats work for ya. And you DO sound like an easy child to raise! XD
